Don’t you just love short weeks?! If I were president, I would declare that the work week begins on Wednesday. (and end on Friday, of course :) )
Many of you may be hitting the grocery store over the weekend. When you're buying food for the week ahead, I'd just like you to keep in mind that you should try and include some source of protein for every meal or snack.
Why? Because proteins such as peanut butter or lean meats break down more slowly. This will stop insulin from spiking. You'll feel full longer. You also need protein to help repair and grow muscle.

Lean ground turkey/chicken
Chicken/Turkey Breast
Swordfish
Salmon
Tuna (canned or steaks)
Haddock
Tilapia
Crab
Lobster
Shrimp
Orange roughy
Top round steak
Top sirloin

Fillet mignon
Lean ham
Egg whites/egg beaters
Low-fat cottage cheese
Low-fat cheese
All Nuts
Beef jerky
Lean lunchmeats
