Here I am with my sister. I'm the one in the New York Jets helmet (white and green) This is my first attempt at ice skating. I've only tried it three times in my life. In the second picture, I'm not sure if I'm trying to help her up or push her down. I'm guessing the latter :) And, in case you're wondering, the other two attempts didn't go so well either -- I have weak ankles :{
We're skating on Raccoon Creek -- for you foreigners out there, it would be pronounced "crick".
What's my point?
Go outside and play.
Right now, you might be thinking…ok, the girl's done lost it --
( in your best Sylvester Stallone as Rocky voice) you answer, "But it's cold outside, Paulie" remember that line….oh, nevermind.
Alright, sure it may be a little nippy today, but don't allow the cold weather to keep you inside. Of course, winter sports like skiing, snowboarding, or ice skating are excellent exercise, but you can still go out and enjoy the fresh air by walking through the neighborhood, or playing with the dog. Just be sure to bundle up…helmet optional. :P
